Andrea Franconia

Andrea Franken (born August 13, 1962 in Göttingen ) is a German politician (formerly Green Alternative List (GAL), today Die Linke ) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and work

Andrea Franken completed her technical college entrance qualification as an office clerk . She worked in a photo agency.

politics

Franken was a founding member of the Greens in the Göttingen district association and was active in several of the party's committees.

From 1998 to 2001 she was a member of the GAL in the Hamburg Parliament , where she took over the post of the resigned Anna Bruns . For her group she was active in the social committee and in the building and transport committee.

In April 2001 she resigned from the GAL because she did not get a promising place on the list when the list for the mayor election was drawn up.

In April 2002 she joined the Democratic Socialism Party . In June of the same year she was elected to 5th place on the state list for the 2002 federal election. In 2006 she was on the board of the PDS and campaigned for a merger with the WASG .
