Andrea Tomat

Andrea Tomat (born February 17, 1957 in Udine ) is an Italian entrepreneur.

Life

In 1982 he received his doctorate in business administration from the University of Venice . He began his career at Eaton Corporation , first in Germany and from 1985 in Milan . There he headed the business administration of the Italian holding company for two years. In 1987 Tomat started working for the Lotto Sport Italia SpA brand . Initially he was Licensing Manager and rose to Marketing Director in 1989.

During this time he developed the brand's image by associating it with personalities in the sports world such as Boris Becker , Martina Navrátilová and Ruud Gullit . At the beginning of 1993 he became General Manager and Managing Director of Stonefly SpA. He managed to re-establish the brand on the market.

In 1998 he founded Millennium Srl and, through a management buy-out , took over Stonefly SpA. In the same year, Millennium acquired the “Impronte” brand. In June 1999, Tomat and a group of local entrepreneurs acquired the “Lotto” brand. Tomat thus became Chairman and General Manager of Lotto Sport Italia SpA. In the same month he was elected Vice-Chairman of the National Association of Italian Shoe Manufacturers (ANCI), having served as a consultant in 1995 and as a committee member in 1997. In May 2000, Tomat was appointed chairman of the Unindustria Treviso shoe clothing group ( Gruppo Calzaturiero ) . In December 2000 he was honored by the Associazione Laureati Università di Ca'Foscari (ALUC) for his exceptional commitment and success in his profession.

In April 2002 Andrea Tomat was appointed to the supervisory board of "Assosport", the Italian association for sporting goods manufacturers. In December he was confirmed in his position as chairman of the Unindustria Treviso shoe clothing group . In May 2004 he was elected President of the Federation of Industrialists of the Province of Treviso. During the same period he was elected to the board of Confindustria . In July 2005 he was appointed President of the Fondazione Nord-Est (Foundation North-East). Andrea Tomat took over the company Etonic and the position of company president with Lotto Sport Italia in November 2006.
