The Confindustria ( Italian Confederazione Generale dell'Industria Italiana ) is Italy's largest employer organization .
It represents the majority of the Italian manufacturing and service industries. Nationwide, a total of 217 associations representing either individual industrial sectors or regions and provinces are members of Confindustria. These member organizations in turn represent around 150,000 companies with around 5.5 million employees.
The organization based in Rome was founded in 1910.
