Andrea Volk (* 1964 ) is a German cabaret artist, presenter and book author.

Career

In 2005 the former TV journalist (consumer, job market, science) and poetry slammer Volk founded the duo Volk und Knecht together with singer and pianist Nina Knecht . They entered with the following programs: Asis Modestübchen - two dead stock unpack , the enslaved people , greetings from the Fettnapf , Gone to the stallion and Christmas full fat . For the most part, Volk und Knecht play business cabaret and appear at company parties, incentives and in front of trade fair audiences.

In 2011 Volk brought out their first solo program VolksBelustigung at the same time . This was followed by teleshopping makes sexy (the show to the book), only the couch counts (holiday comedy) and party evening! Volk worked as a comedy writer for the publishers Eichborn, Heyne, Hoffmann and Campe as well as for SWR and WDR. Volk was nominated for the Black Sheep from the Lower Rhine , won 3rd place at the Niederkassel cabaret and second place at the Kremenholler Comedy Prize. She and her comedy partner Nina Knecht (Volk & Knecht) won 1st place in the women's power award, 2nd place in the cabaret competition in Oelsnitz bar stool and 3rd place in the Gummersbacher Comedy Award. In April 2017, Volk won 2nd place at the Rhaden Asparagus Cabaret Prize and was nominated for the Reinheimer Satirelöwen 2017. In 2018 she won the Lower Saxony Laubenpieper Prize. In 2019 she won the 2nd prize and the audience award of the Tuttlinger Krähe .

Volk, who lives in Cologne, is committed to animal welfare and is the "ambassador" of the German Animal Welfare Association.
