Andreas Brönnimann (born March 27, 1955 in Belp , legal domicile in Belp) is a Swiss politician ( EDU ). From September 2009 to December 2011 he was a member of the National Council of the Federal Assembly.

Life

The entrepreneur by profession has his own company, Pneuhaus Brönnimann AG (formerly Andreas Brönnimann AG ). Brönnimann has the military degree of corporal and is married. He has five children and lives in Belp .

In November 1996 Brönnimann was in the council elected by Belp. Two years later, in April 1998, he made the leap to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern and was active there until 2002. In April 2006 he served again as a councilor and ended his office as a municipal councilor in December 2007. On September 7th, 2009 he replaced Christian Waber in the National Council . In contrast to the non-attached Christian Waber, EDU member Brönnimann joined the SVP parliamentary group . In the National Council elections in 2011 Brönnimann received 24,114 votes, which was not enough for him to be re-elected.
