Andreas Christoph Lindenhan

Andreas Christoph Lindenhan (born February 17, 1774 in Hadersleben ; † December 31, 1836 there ) was a German / Danish poet, mayor and lawyer.

He studied law in Kiel and passed the state examination in 1793. Then he became a lawyer in Hadersleben. In 1814 he was appointed mayor and police chief, which he remained until his death. In 1825 he was appointed to the Royal Danish Council of Justice. He left 10 children: 3 sons and 7 daughters.

In addition to his poetry, he also wrote biographies about Hans the Elder and Adolph I. He also wrote many essays of general and philosophical content, as well as about the police. In addition, historical works such as "Historical representation of the disputes between Denmark and Holstein-Gottorp continued until 1773".
