Andreas Clauß (triathlete)

Andreas Clauß (* around 1963 in Leipzig ) is a German triathlon organizer, sports presenter and former triathlete .

Career

Clauss was a triathlete from the first few hours in the GDR and was a four-time GDR champion in the triathlon or endurance triathlon over the short distance. He started for the SC DHfK Leipzig . In 1990 he took part in the world championships in triathlon over the short distance in Orlando, Florida and was the best German starter in 19th place. In 1990 he was still GDR champion over the short and middle distance and third in the European Cup in Turkey. In 2000 Andreas Clauss declared his active career over.

After attending the sports high school in Leipzig, he studied sports at the DHfK Leipzig. Today Clauß works in a local sports pool and wellness company. Clauß is co-organizer of the Leipzig Triathlon and moderates various events.
