Andreas Ellguth

Andreas Ellguth (born August 28, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player . He was used in defense and midfield during his playing days .

Ellguth came from the youth of VfB 03 Bielefeld . In 1979 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld's youth department and in 1983 made the leap into the first team. He played his first Bundesliga game on August 13, 1983 in a 3-2 win at 1. FC Köln . In 1985 he was relegated from the Bundesliga with Arminia. After Arminia was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in 1988 , Ellguth switched to FC 08 Homburg , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1989 and relegated again a year later. In 1992 Ellguth moved to FC Gütersloh . There he and his team made it to the Regionalliga West / Südwest in 1995, and the following year, the march through to the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 1998/99 season he moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he ended his career.

In total, Ellguth played 43 Bundesliga games and 157 second division games. While he did not score in the Bundesliga, he scored nine goals in the second division. Today Ellguth runs two fashion stores in Verl and Rietberg . He has three sons and one daughter. His son Patrick played in Arminia Bielefeld's second team until the end of the 2011/12 season, before moving to KFC Uerdingen 05 for the following season .
