Andreas Fabricius
Andreas Fabricius (also Goldschmidt ; * 1528 in Chemnitz ; † October 26, 1577 in Eisleben ) was a German Protestant theologian and neo-Latin poet .
Life
After he had enrolled at the University of Wittenberg on June 4, 1550 , he acquired the degree of master's degree in April 1554 . After his studies he became rector at the city school in Nordhausen , 1560 deacon at the church of St. Petri in Nordhausen, where he rose to pastor in 1565. After disputes with his fellow ministers, he moved to the church of St. Nicolai in Eisleben as pastor in 1568 .
Fabricius, a brother of Georg Fabricius , was active as a neo-Latin poet and as a theological writer, including pamphlets against his Nordhausen colleague Anton Otto within the Antinomist dispute .
