Andreas Höppner (born March 22, 1968 in Gardelegen ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ) and member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

biography

Andreas Höppner completed the polytechnic high school, training as a maintenance mechanic and technical college training as a mechanical engineer. He works as a technician and safety engineer in the food industry and has been the exempt works council chairman of the baked goods manufacturer Fricopan, a subsidiary of the Aryzta Group , since 2007 .

Party and politics

Höppner is the local mayor of Gardelegen and is a member of the local city council and the district council in the Altmark district of Salzwedel . In the party Die Linke he was deputy state chairman since 2011. From May 20, 2017 to June 29, 2019 he was state chairman, and Stefan Gebhardt was elected as his successor in this function .

In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2016 , he received a mandate on his party's state list.
