Andreas Heinrich Wiegandt

Andreas Heinrich Wiegandt (born November 19, 1809 in Tambach ; † August 2, 1889 ibid) was a German politician , mayor of Tambach (1863–1868) and a member of the state parliament of the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha (1857–1860).

Life

Wiegandt was born in 1809 as the son of a master butcher and attended the Gotha Illustre Gymnasium from 1824 to 1830 . After graduating, he studied Protestant theology in Jena , where he became a member of the Jena fraternity in 1830 . In the years 1848 and 1852 he was elector for the elections to the state parliament of the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha . In 1857 he moved up in a by-election as a member of the state parliament, to which he belonged until 1860. From 1863 to 1868 he was mayor of Tambach.
