Andreas Henzen (born January 1, 1955 in Visp ) is a Swiss painter and graphic artist in Sankt German , Canton of Valais .

He attended the primary schools in Baltschieder and Visp, then the teachers' seminar in Sion and taught as a primary school teacher in Baltschieder. 1983–1988 he studied at the Cantonal School of Design in Sion, graduated in painting and illustration , and became a drawing teacher in Visp. He works mainly as a freelance painter, illustrator and caricaturist . His painting is non-figurative , often using structured forms and individual colors. The unterbach memorial sculpture designed by him also shows his striving for aesthetic harmony of form.

In 1991 he also received the Alfred Grünwald Prize, which honors artists from Upper Valais . Henzen was President of the Society of Swiss Painters, Sculptors, Architects (GSMBA).
