Andreas Hilbert

Andreas Hilbert (born May 30, 1966 in Ramstein-Miesenbach ; † March 1, 2019 ) was a German business IT specialist and professor for business information systems at the TU Dresden from 2004 to 2019 .

Career

After graduating from the Johanneum in Homburg , Hilbert studied business mathematics at the Universities of Kaiserslautern and Karlsruhe (TH) and received his doctorate in 1998 at the chair for mathematical methods of economics at the University of Augsburg with the thesis on the theory of correlation measures for Dr. rer. pole.

From 1998 to 2009 he was a. a. Lecturer in statistics and data mining at the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Marketing (BAW) in Munich. In 2003 he completed his habilitation in business administration and in 2004 was offered a professorship for business informatics with a focus on business intelligence research at the TU Dresden. Since then, Hilbert has worked in research, teaching and consulting in the areas of market research, statistical data analysis, data mining and business analytics . Andreas Hilbert wrote publications and gave lectures on scientific topics. He was also chairman of Business Intelligence Research e. V. (Dresden) and member of the management committee of the Business Intelligence specialist group of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e. V.
