Andreas Hinz

Andreas Hinz (* 1952 in Berlin ) is a German basketball coach.

career

In the 1970s, Hinz was a coach at Berliner SV 1892 , where he was involved in building basketball structures in the youth sector. In 1972 the male C-youth of the BSV 1892 became German champions under Hinz's direction. As a youth coach at DTV Charlottenburg , he led another boys' team to the German championship title in the mid-1970s.

He was the national coach of the Berlin Basketball Association and was one of the founding members of the Basketball Association (BG) Zehlendorf and the Association of German Basketball Trainers. In the 1980/81 season he led the DTV Charlottenburg as a coach for promotion to the basketball league .

At the end of the 1980s, Hinz was the coach of the Neukölln Sportfreunde in the 2nd basketball league , at TuS Neukölln he was involved in youth work and won Berlin championship titles with several boys and girls' teams .

Between 1992 and 1995, the Wemex Berlin women's Bundesliga team reached the championship round twice as head coach under Hinz, and in the 1998/99 season he worked for SSV Einheit Weißenfels as assistant coach of his former protégé Frank Menz and thus contributed to the team's promotion to the Bundesliga at.

Hinz, who worked full-time as a primary school teacher in Berlin, held the coaching post at BC Anhalt Dessau for two and a half years until spring 2004, before he took over the coaching post for the regional league men of SSV Lok Bernau in December 2005 . In the spring of 2006, he led Barnimers, who were threatened with relegation, to remain in the 1st Regionalliga, later he looked after the team together with Torsten Schierenbeck , the team established the locomotive in the regional league's top group. In the summer of 2008, Hinz left Bernau for professional reasons.

At Berliner SC, where he had already worked as a trainer in the girls' area parallel to his job in Bernau, he then continued to work as a trainer, sports manager and member of the departmental board.
