Andreas Konzett

Andreas Josef Konzett (born January 21, 1861 in Bludenz ; † January 11, 1938 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and teacher. From 1909 to 1914 and from 1918 to 1923 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and from 1910 to 1919 mayor of Bludenz.

education and profession

Konzett attended the elementary school in Bludenz and then continued his education from 1874 to 1882 at the Feldkirch grammar school. He passed the Matura in 1882 and then studied law at the University of Graz . On July 2, 1887 , Konzett obtained his doctorate in law in Graz . He then worked as a trainee in Meran and Bludenz and in 1888 acquired practice from Walter Christian in Bludenz. As a result, he worked for the Biedermann law firm in Dornbirn until October 1 and then became a lawyer in Bludenz from 1895 to 1938. From 1909 to 1924 he was also the substitute for the director of the Vorarlberg mortgage bank.

Politics and functions

In terms of local politics, Konzett was active as a member of the Bludenz community committee and chairman of the local school council. He also became a city councilor and held the office of mayor from 1910 to 1919. In 1909 he was sworn in as a representative of the city of Bludenz as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and subsequently belonged to the state parliament without interruption until 1923, although the state parliament was not convened between 1914 and 1918 after the outbreak of the First World War. He was sworn in on November 3, 1918 as a member of the provisional Vorarlberg state assembly and from 1919 was a member of the Bludenz constituency of the regular state parliament. He left the state parliament on November 5, 1923. Konzett was deputy chairman in the constitutional committee, deputy chairman in the economics committee and chairman in the building regulations committee.

In addition to his work in the state parliament, Konzett was a member of the state committee from 1910 to 1914 and from November 3, 1918 to June 6, 1919 a substitute member of the regional councilor Franz Unterberger in the state council. He then acted from June 17, 1919 to November 5, 1923 as a substitute member of Barnabas Fink in the state government.

Private

Konzett was born the son of master bleacher Franz Anton Konzett (1831–1871) and his wife Maria Magdalena Amann (1829–1906), who was born in Schlins . He married Josefine Stoiber (1869–1933), who was born in Dalaas , on September 16, 1901 in Bludenz and between 1902 and 1912 had four children.
