Andreas Kröckel (born December 7, 1965 in Essen ) is a German darts player . He is married to the dart player Trixi and has a daughter. Kröckel is the record national player of the German Darts Association (DDV) with over 50 appearances.

Career

Andreas "Andy" Kröckel came to darts when the host of his soccer club hung up a dartboard in the club's office after a vacation in Canada. This idea continued to develop until DSC Essen was founded on May 1st, 1987, the first of only two clubs Andy played for in his career. Today he is part of the team at DSC Bochum, with which he plays in the Bundesliga.

So far Kröckel has won the German championship in various disciplines 25 times . He took part in the BDO World Darts Championship in 1996 and was, after Bernd Hebecker in 1993, the second German participant in a Darts World Championship.

As a sponsor of Kröckel, the Dutch hotel group Van der Valk Hotels appears alongside the Dutch dart manufacturer d'art9 .
