Andreas Krebs (Manager)

Andreas R. Krebs (* 1957 or 1958) is a German manager , multi-board member and author. Among other things, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Shareholders' Council of Merz Pharma .

life and work

Krebs grew up in Sontra in the Werra-Meißner district and now lives in the Rhineland . Until 2010, Krebs worked in management positions for Bayer AG and Wyeth Corporation, most recently as a member of the corporate board in the USA. Before that he also worked in the UK, Canada, Latin America and Asia. Andreas Krebs has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Merz Pharma since 2012 and has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2010. In addition, he holds other advisory and supervisory board mandates in various industries.

As a speaker, Krebs speaks about the framework conditions for successful supervisory board work or digital change. Krebs regularly writes specialist articles in business media or is an interview partner.

In 2018 he published the book "The Illusion of Invincibility - Why Managers Are No Smarter Than the Incas 500 Years Ago" with the British Paul Williams. The book was discussed in newspapers such as Capital , FAZ or the Börsenblatt .

Krebs is the chairman of the Friends' Association Girassol eV , which supports socially disadvantaged children and young people in São Paulo ( Brazil ).
