Andreas Kurte

Andreas Kurte (* 1964 in Paderborn ) is a German Roman Catholic clergyman and cathedral chapter in the Archdiocese of Paderborn .

Life

Andreas Kurte studied philosophy and Catholic theology and received in 1990 by Archbishop Johannes Joachim Degenhardt the priesthood . He was vicar in St. Marien Lügde (1990–94) and parish administrator in St. Petrus Canisius in Hagen-Eckesey (1994–97) as well as the deanery youth pastor in the deanery Hagen (1996–1997). From 1997 to 2003 Kurte was regional vicar in the pastoral care region Ruhr-Mark and at the same time as parish administrator in St. Stephanus Opherdicke.

In 2003, Andreas Kurte became head of the Höxter Pastoral Association, parish dean in St. Nikolaus Höxter and parish administrator in St. Peter and Paul Höxter and St. Stephanus and Vitus Corvey . From 2006 to 2008 he was dean for the Höxter dean's office.

In 2008 he succeeded Hubert Berenbrinker as head of the central pastoral staff department in the Archbishop's General Vicariate in Paderborn.

In 2012 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Pro-Grand Master Edwin Frederick O'Brien and invested in the Munich Jesuit Church of St. Michael by Reinhard Cardinal Marx , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . On August 27, 2012 he was appointed to succeed Karl-Heinrich Brinkmann as Prior of the Commandery St. Meinwerk in Paderborn.
