Andreas Leuterding

Andreas Leuterding (born March 20, 1685 in Bautzen ; died November 11, 1741 in Steinbach ) was a German royal-Polish and electoral-Saxon civil servant. He was senior attorney in the capital of Upper Lusatia , Bautzen, and most recently bailiff in Selva in the Ore Mountains .

Life

He was the son of the citizen, musician and town piper Andreas Leuterding and his wife Maria Elisabeth nee Schleicher from Bautzen. His grandfather, Nicolaus Leuterding (* 1600), who came from Braunschweig, was a town musician in Bautzen.

After finishing school, he embarked on an administrative career in the service of the Saxon Elector August the Strong. At first he worked as a lawyer, later as a senior official in his hometown of Bautzen. When the position of bailiff in Wolkenstein in the Ore Mountains was vacated, he was transferred to this position and moved from Upper Lusatia to the Ore Mountains in Saxony.

In 1725, Andreas Leuterding bought Ernst Heige's shares in the grain leases, interest and other income from the village of Leetza in the Saxon office of Schweinitz .

At home he did not settle in Wolkenstein, but in the Ore Mountains hut town of Steinbach near Jöhstadt in the office of Wolkenstein. There he married the daughter of the hammer mill owner, Susanna Dorothea Leuterding, née Zobelin, who was born on January 6, 1689 in Annaberg.

Andreas Leuterding died childless in Steinbach in the Ore Mountains and was buried in the local cemetery. His extensive inheritance fell to his two sisters Maria Elisabeth Keilpflug nee. Leuterding in Annaberg and Anna Rosina Hempel born Leuterding in Neustadt near Stolpen in the Hohnstein office. The former was the wife of Augustin Keilpflug, who was the chief collector of the general tax receipts in Annaberg in 1741, and the latter had married the town musician Christoph Hempel in Neustadt and died in 1758 without children.
