Andreas Ludwig (born September 11, 1990 in Ulm ) is a German football player .
Career
Andreas Ludwig started his career at TSV Blaustein and TSV Neu-Ulm , from which he moved to the youth department of SSV Ulm 1846 in 2004 . After convincing in the A-youth team, he moved up to the first team in 2008. During the Regionalliga season 2008/09 he made his debut in the Regionalliga Süd when he was a substitute in the 2-1 win against TSV Großbardorf on March 3, 2009. Over the course of the season he established himself as a regular on the offensive and contributed to reaching seventh place in the table with four goals this season.
When SSV coach Markus Gisdol left the Ulm club for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim at the end of the season to take over the training of the second team, he took Ludwig with him to Hoffenheim. In the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , Ludwig contributed as a regular in midfield (32 games, 7 goals) to the fact that the team established itself in the front of the table. From the winter break of 2009/10, the left-footed player trained with the professional squad of the Kraichgau Bundesliga club and received his first Bundesliga appearance in the game at Bayern Munich on January 15, 2010 when he was substituted on in the second half. As a result, he was again regularly used in the second team.
In May 2011 Ludwig extended his contract with 1899 Hoffenheim, which ran until 2012, by one year and was loaned to 1. FC Heidenheim for the coming season . Since he was hardly able to collect match practice in Heidenheim due to too much competition, the loan was already ended on January 17, 2012 and Ludwig returned to the Hoffenheim U-23. There he made a name for himself with his strong performances, especially in the 2012/13 season. By the end of March 2013, he scored 15 goals in 25 league games.
In April 2013, Ludwig moved up to the professional team under the new coach Markus Gisdol, with whom he had previously worked. A little later he made his second Bundesliga appearance when he came on for Sven Schipplock in the 2-2 draw against VfL Wolfsburg . In April 2013, Ludwig received a license player contract until June 30, 2015. In January 2014, he was loaned to the second division club TSV 1860 Munich until the end of the season . There he was used in ten games, eight of them from the start, and scored his first goal in the 4-0 win against VfR Aalen and made his first assist in the professional field.
After the loan expired in Munich, Ludwig left TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the summer of 2014 and moved to the second division club VfR Aalen . He signed a two-year contract with the Swabians. Ludwig changed clubs prematurely after one season and signed a contract with the Dutch first division club FC Utrecht in the summer of 2015 . With Utrecht, Ludwig reached 5th place in his debut season as well as the Dutch Cup final in which Utrecht lost 2-1. After a 4th place in the 2016/17 season, Ludwig moved to the German third division club 1. FC Magdeburg . Here he came only to 10 missions in the 2017/18 season so that he left the FCM after only one season. Ludwig was able to celebrate promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with Magdeburg.
