Andreas Muhr

Andreas Muhr (born February 12, 1904 in Cologne ; † June 1, 1968 ) was a German politician and member of the CDU state parliament .

Life and work

After attending school, he completed an apprenticeship as a blacksmith , worked in this profession and passed the master's examination. In 1935 Muhr took over his parents 'business and became a member of the advisory board of the blacksmiths' guild in Cologne. He worked as a specialist teacher and was involved in the areas of the guild and the district craftsmen.

In Cologne-Bocklemünd there is an Andreas-Muhr-Straße in honor of Muhr.

politics

In 1946 he became a member of the CDU. From April 20, 1947 to June 17, 1950, Muhr was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 016 Cologne-Stadt IV.
