Andreas Riesner

Andreas "Andi" Riesner (born January 8, 1979 in Neumarkt am Wallersee ; † February 8, 2012 at Hochkalter ) was an Austrian ski tour guide , alpine journalist and photographer.

Riesner was the son of Emmerich Karl Riesner, Mayor of Neumarkt am Wallersee, former President and currently Vice President of the EuRegio Salzburg - Berchtesgadener Land - Traunstein . In addition to numerous reports on ski tours, also in internet forums and in his web log , he published the ski tour guide Austria together with Andreas Jentzsch and Axel Jentzsch-Rabl : the most beautiful ski tours from the Großglockner to Vienna .

Riesner crashed on the descent from the Hochkalter after a slab avalanche had triggered that aroused the him up to a 50 meter high cliff over which he crashed then about 300 meters deep into Ofental.
