Andreas Roland (* around 1593 probably in Königsberg ; † before January 12, 1646 ) was major in the Erlach Regiment during the Thirty Years' War under the French crown , where he died in 1646 as a commander in Laufenburg . Since 1593 he was married to Justina, daughter of Dietrich, von Hohenstein from Elenbogen.

epitaph

On the southeast side of the Reformed Church in Bözen there is an epitaph in his honor with rich stone masonry from the transition period between Renaissance and early Baroque. Sandstone slab with drilled frame, donated by his wife. Saying in Antiqua. The alliance of coats of arms with rich crest and volutes to crown the cornice. The original epitaph was copied in 1983.

The inscription reads:

As can be seen from the diary of a vicar general of the diocese of Basel, Roland was on May 21, 1642 with the vicar general, the incumbent and the former mayor of Laufenburg in a castle in Essen.
