Andreas Schulte (dentist)

Andreas Schulte (* around 1956) is a German university professor and specialist dentist for oral surgery . In 2015 he was appointed by the University of Witten / Herdecke as the first nationwide professor of dentistry for the disabled.

Life

Andreas Schulte studied dentistry at the Westphalian Wilhelms University . There he worked until 1991 as a research assistant and later as a senior physician . He then moved to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Philipps University of Marburg , where he completed his habilitation in 1996 . In 1998 he joined the Department of Dental Preservation at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg as a senior physician , where he was appointed adjunct professor in 2002 .

Funding the chair

The endowed chair is financed for five years by the Software AG Foundation . The Mahle Foundation will initially act as a co-sponsor for one year.
