Andreas Schweiger (born July 22,  1965 in Oldenburg ) is a former German boxer . He was German super middleweight champion.

Life

Schweiger was in the ring for the first time as a professional boxer in July 1987, he won ten of his first eleven fights and suffered one defeat. In July 1989 he played his first fight for the German championship, but lost in the super middleweight division to Mike Wissenbach . In May 1990 he competed  against Ali Saidi in Hamburg , it was about the vacant German championship title in light heavyweight. Schweiger lost. In January 1991 he missed another title opportunity when he boxed for the German international super middleweight championship, but was defeated by Horace Fleary .

At the end of June 1991, Schweiger finally won the German championship title in the super middleweight division by defeating Harald Schulte. He also defeated Schulte in the rematch, which took place in late February 1992. Schweiger lost his title in April 1992 when he lost to Andreas Marks . After that, Schweiger did not fight a fight as a professional boxer. He remained loyal to boxing as a referee and judge.
