Andreas Seidl (born January 6, 1976 in Passau , Germany ) is a German motorsport engineer and manager who is currently team principal of the McLaren Formula 1 team and was previously team principal of the Porsche LMP1 program.

Career

Seidl graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a degree in mechanical engineering. Seidl previously worked in Formula 1 for BMW from 2000 to 2009 . After BMW left Formula 1, Seidl led BMW's DTM comeback in 2012 . Seidl joined the Porsche LMP1 squad in 2013 as Director of Race Operations and was promoted to team boss in 2014. McLaren appointed Seidl as team boss of his Formula 1 team on January 10, 2019.
