Andreas Stenglein

Andreas Sebastian Stenglein (born January 20, 1929 in Gaustadt , today Bamberg ) is a German local politician who also worked for the SPD between 1958 and 1966 (December 3, 1958 to November 25, 1962 and January 28, 1963 to November 20, 1966) Member of the Bavarian State Parliament and from 1957 to 1972 district chairman of the SPD of Bamberg-Land. From 1959 to 1961, Stenglein was the state chairman of the Young Socialists in Bavaria. In addition to his twelve-year involvement in the Bamberg district council (1960–1972), from 1966 to 1972 he was the last mayor of the then independent municipality of Gaustadt. Stenglein is the author of several local and contemporary works.

Stenglein is a Roman Catholic, widowed and has three children. He is a member of ASV Gaustadt, Schützenverein 1899 Gaustadt, AWO and several other clubs.
