Andreas Valke

Andreas Valke (* in the 15th century; † April 18, 1546 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Andreas Valke came from the Westphalian noble family Valke and was the son of Johann Valke and his wife Anna Nagel. He was first mentioned in a document on April 12, 1520 as the canon of Münster. On February 14, 1541 he succeeded Adolf von Bodelschwingh as provost of St. Martini in Münster . He renounced this office shortly before his death, because on the day of his death, Bishop Franz von Waldeck had given the provost office and the archdeaconate belonging to it to Wilbrand von Schagen .
