Andreas Witte (drummer)
Andreas "Andy" Witte (* 9. January 1961 in Stuttgart ) is a German drummer of modern jazz .
Witte, the son of the bass legend Peter Witte , studied his instrument with Charly Antolini and at the Hermann Zilcher Conservatory . Until 2004 he accompanied the organist Barbara Dennerlein . He also played with Eugen Cicero , Horst Jankowski , Paul Kuhn and Wolfgang Schmid and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival , the Lugano Jazz Festival , the North Sea Jazz Festival and various German festivals . Since 2004 he has been a teacher at Drummer's Focus , a drum school with several branches in Germany.
