Andrei Sergejewitsch Muchatschow ( Russian Андрей Сергеевич Мухачёв ; born July 21, 1980 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .

Career

Andrei Muchachev began his career as a hockey player at Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg , before moving to HK CSKA Moscow in 1998 . For his professional team he played from 1998 in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . At the end of the 2001/02 season he rose to the Super League with CSKA . While the defender played for CSKA he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2003 in the seventh round as a total of 210th player by the Nashville Predators , for which he however never played.

After four years in the Super League for CSKA, he moved to their league rivals Vitjas Chekhov in the summer of 2006 , although he left after just one season. The left-handed shooter was then committed by Chimik Moskovskaya Oblast , with whom he began the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , before moving to Ak Bars Kazan during the season , with whom he was the first in his career at the end of the season Gagarin Cup won. He repeated this success in the following season with Kazan. The 2010/11 season he spent at HK Awangard Omsk , before moving to Amur Khabarovsk for the following season within the KHL .
