Andrei Eduardowitsch Kusmin ( Russian Андрей Эдуардович Кузьмин ; born April 15, 1981 in Penza , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Disel Pensa in the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2013 .

Career

Andrei Kusmin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Disel Penza , for whose professional team he was active in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga from 1997 to 1999 . After a year with his league rivals THK Tver , he moved to the reigning Russian champions HK Dynamo Moscow in summer 2008 , for whom he scored a goal in 18 games in the Superliga . Following the season, the attacker received a contract with the second division club ZSK WWS Samara . The 2002/03 season he began at Molot-Prikamje Perm from the Super League, before he rose to the Super League with the second division Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod at the end of the season.

From 2004 to 2006, Kuzmin played for his ex-club Disel Pensa in the Vysschaya League before he was on the ice for two seasons for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk in the Super League. In the summer of 2008, the Russian was signed by Ak Bars Kazan from the newly founded Continental Hockey League , with which he became Russian champion for the first time in his career at the end of the season . In 2009 he returned to Nizhnekamsk.

In 2010 he moved back to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod , in January 2011 this dissolved his contract prematurely and Kuzmin spent the rest of the season at Disel Penza in the Vysschaya Hockey League . In September 2011 he was signed by Metallurg Novokuznetsk from the Continental Hockey League . He then played 52 KHL games for Metallurg before moving to HK Spartak Moscow in May 2012 within the KHL . For Spartak he completed 17 KHL games before he was released from his contract in November 2012 and was then obliged by HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk .

In 2013 he returned to his hometown club in Penza.
