Andrew Bond (* 1965 in Great Britain ) is a Swiss musician and writer with a focus on children's songs .

biography

After studying theology, Andrew Bond worked for 17 years as a music and religion teacher at the high school in Wädenswil . In 1998 he published his first music CD: Zimetschtern han i gern . What originally began as an internal family project, thanks to its publication by the Zürcher Lehrmittelverlag, quickly became a hit in schools and kindergartens and has since become Bond's greatest success. In addition to his children's music projects, Bond has also released CDs of songs for adults, as well as picture books and children's novels.

In the summer of 2012 Andrew Bond took over the guest theater in Zurich from the then “Märlikönig” Fredy Kunz, who was looking for a successor for his theater due to his age. From the beginning, Bond took over the artistic and musical direction. He entrusted management and direction to Thomas Lüdi. At the same time, the guest theater was given a new name: MärliMusicalTheater . At the same time as he took over the theater, Andrew Bond opened his new KinderKulturRiich - in short: Kikuri - in Wädenswil , a center for diverse culture for children and with children. The Kikuri is a place of encounter and further training, of hatching and planning with offices, rehearsal and storage rooms and a terrace café.
