Andrew Carrington (born April 16, 1977 in Australia ) is an Australian singer .

Life

Andrew Carrington grew up in Cairns in northeast Australia, lives in Berlin and is the married father of one daughter.

First, like his father, he began training as a saxophonist. Inspired by fellow students, the focus of his studies changed to classical vocal training. While still a student, Carrington began his career with the Australian vocal ensemble The Ten Tenors at the age of 21 . Andrew Carrington was inspired by Luciano Pavarotti , Mario Lanza and Frank Sinatra , among others .

In his ten years as one of the lead singers of the Ten Tenors, Carrington made around 2000 appearances worldwide.

Solo career

In May 2010 Carrington began his solo career with the release of the first album Ich leb 'für Dich . He made his first live appearance as a solo artist on May 8, 2010 at Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel on ZDF .

In his songs, sung in German, Carrington also takes up autobiographical topics and tells about the relationship with his wife and their daughter.
