Andrew Thanya-anan Vissanu

Andrew Thanya-anan Vissanu (born January 20, 1959 in Nakhon Pathom , Thailand ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman .

Life

Andrew Thanya-anan Vissanu received the sacrament of ordination on May 18, 1986 in Bangkok after his theological training . He then studied at the Roman Pontifical Diplomatic Academy and entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He served in the Apostolic Nuns in Sudan, Morocco, Greece, India, Japan, Ireland and Indonesia. He was made monsignor.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 1, 2008 as Undersecretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue .

Since 2012 he has been Deputy General Secretary of the Episcopal Conference of Thailand.
