Schattberge is a district of the town of Gladau in the city of Genthin in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Schattberge is located on the southwestern edge of the Fiener Bruch , surrounded by agricultural land. The state road 54 leads through the village with a connection to the federal roads 1 and 107 . The district town of Burg is 18 kilometers away. The Theesen junction of Autobahn 2 is 16 kilometers away. An extensive pine forest area extends northwest of the village. To the north, tracks of a former railway line are still laid.

history

The manor district of Schattberge was united with the rural community on September 30, 1928 and has been a district of Gladau ever since. With the incorporation of the former independent municipality of Gladau into the city of Genthin on June 1, 2009, Schattberge also became part of the city of Genthin.
