Gehlsdorf is a district of the village Paplitz of the city of Genthin in the district of Jerichower Land in Saxony-Anhalt .

The district is located on the southern edge of the Fiener Bruch lowland landscape , surrounded by agricultural land. The forest areas of the Hohen Fläming begin to the southwest of the district . The entrance to Autobahn 2 (Magdeburg - Berlin) is 9.9 kilometers away. The border with the state of Brandenburg runs east of the town .

The village of Paplitz is 2.4 kilometers north of the district. Autobahn 2 runs south.

history

With the incorporation of the former municipality Paplitz on July 1, 2009 to Genthin, Gehlsdorf was also incorporated into Genthin.
