Hagen is a former Vorwerk and part of the city of Genthin .
geography
The district of Hagen is located on the district road 1205 between Genthin and Bergzow . The Elbe-Havel Canal runs north of the settlement .
history
The first mention of the Hagens goes back to 1614, when A. von Meyendorff built a Vorwerk. From 1808 the merchant von Pieschel used a large part of the land for his business, which processed agricultural products. In the period that followed, the royal domain administration in Magdeburg concluded contracts with several tenants.
With the law of December 27, 1927, the historically obsolete manor districts were dissolved. Estate manager Braumann handed over the estate's documents to Mayor Struß on November 1, 1928. The 62 inhabitants and an area of 175 hectares enlarged the area of the city of Genthin.
