Andrij Anatoliyowytsch Russol ( Ukrainian Андрій Русол ., Scientific transliteration Andriy Rusol * 16th January 1983 in Kirovohrad ) is a retired Ukrainian footballer .

Russol began playing football at his hometown club FK Sirka Kirowohrad and already had a first division appearance there before he came to league rivals Krywbas Krywyj Rih at the age of 16 . There he developed into a regular player in defense. In 2003 he moved to the top club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk , where he ended his career in 2011.

He made his first appearance in the Ukrainian national team in 2004. With convincing performances he played his way into the team and played through in the qualifying games for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Due to the successful first qualification of Ukraine for a World Cup, he came in the squad to his first World Cup appearances. Russol scored the first ever goal for the Ukrainian national team in a group game against Saudi Arabia in a World Cup .
