The FK Krywbas Krywyj Rih ( Ukrainian ФК "Кривбас" Кривий Ріг , Russian ФК "Кривбасс" Кривой Рог / Kriwbass Krivoy Rog ) is a Ukrainian football club from the southern Ukrainian city of Krywy Rih .
history
The club was founded in 1959 under the name FK Krywyj Rih (Russian: FK Krivoy Rog), and it was not until 1966 that the club received its current name, based on the Krywbass iron ore basin .
In 1992, after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the associated independence of Ukraine, Krywbas Krywyj Rih was classified in the second Ukrainian league. Through the championship in the second division, the club rose to the Wyschtscha Liha in 1992 and has not been relegated since. The best positions to date were two third places in the 1998/99 and 1999/00 seasons. After the 2012/13 season , the club withdrew from Premjer-Liha due to financial difficulties.
