Andrzej Bieżan
Andrzej Bieżan (born November 11, 1945 in Warsaw , † December 15, 1983 in Poznan ) was a Polish composer and pianist.
Live and act
Bieżan studied composition with Piotr Perkowski at the State Music Academy in Warsaw until 1972 . Together with the drummers Władysław Jagiełło , Andrzej Przybielski and Helmut Nadolski, he explored experimental jazz in the group Sesja 72 ; the band presented themselves in 1973 at the Jazz Jamboree . He was also co-founder of other music ensembles (u. A. Materials Service Co. , Grupa Muzyki Intuicyjnej , Super Grupa Bez Fałszywej Skromności , cytula Tyfun since Bamba Orkiester , Niezależne Studio Muzyki Elektroakustycznej ) with whom he as a pianist and on the trumscheit at festivals such as the Warsaw Autumn and Inventions occurred. From 1982 he was director of the Poznan puppet and drama theater Marcinek .
His compositions were recorded in the Experimental Studio of the Polish Radio, among others. He described his music as intuitive music .
Bieżan died in a car accident. The album Archangel's Sword , recorded at Club Remont , was released posthumously in 1984 . A double CD with works by Bieżan was released in 2013 under the title Polygamy .
