Andrzej Przybielski
Andrzej Grzegorz Przybielski (* 9 September 1944 ; † 9. February 2011 in Bydgoszcz ) was a Polish jazz - trumpet player , who in the Polish avant-garde jazz - and modern creative scene was active.
Live and act
In 1968 Przybielski was awarded with the Trio Gdańsk for his performance at the Jazz nad Odrą Festival . In 1969 he played in Andrzej Kurylewicz's Formacją Muzyki Współczesnej at the Jazz Jamboree , but also at the Pori Festival . In the following years he was employed as a musician at various theaters, such as the Teatru Narodowego in Zamość and the Sceny Teatru Witkacego in Zakopane . Together with the drummers Władysław Jagiełło , Andrzej Bieżan and Helmut Nadolski, he explored experimental jazz in the group Sesja 72 ; the band presented themselves in 1973 at the Jazz Jamboree.
He also worked with numerous musicians on the Polish jazz scene, such as Wanda Warska , Jacek Bednarek , Czesław Niemen , Tomasz Stańko , and later with Stanisław Sojka , Adam Hanuszkiewicz , Ryszard Tymon Tymański and Wojciech Konikewicz . He was also heard in the merger area with SBB (Józef Skrzek, Apostolis Anthimos and Jerzy Piotrowski). He belonged to the groups Big Band Free Cooperation and Acoustic Action . In the 1990s he was a member of the jazz band NRD . Since 2000 he has worked with Andy Lumpp (first on the album Music from Planet Earth ); Przybielski and his band performed with Lumpp in 2005 at the Leipzig Jazz Days . In the 2000s, too, he directed his long-standing Asocjacja Andrzeja Przybielskiego , which at that time included Yura Ovsiannikow (saxophone), Grzegorz Nadolny (bass) and Grzegorz Daroń (drums). His interaction with Marcin and Bartłomiej Oleś has been documented on several albums ( Freebop 2000, and Abstract , 2005).
