Linda DeScenna

Linda DeScenna (born November 14, 1949 in Warren , Ohio ) is an American production designer .

Life

DeScenna began her film career in 1977 initially with television, where she worked on the science fiction series The Fantastic Journey and Logan's Run on the production design. In 1979 she worked on the science fiction film Star Trek: The Movie , for which she received her first Oscar nomination . Her next work on a science fiction film, Ridley Scott's Blade Runner , also earned her an Oscar nomination. In the mid to late 1980s she worked several times with Steven Spielberg , and was nominated for a third Oscar for The Color Purple . In total, she was nominated for an Oscar five times, but never won the award.
