Andy Ruepp (* 1968 in Leutkirch im Allgäu ) is a German singer-songwriter .

Life

Ruepp began teaching himself to play the guitar at the age of eight. However, he did not perform publicly until the late 1980s. In the late 1980s he began his time as a performing musician. The repertoire consisted mostly of covered songs from the 1960s and 1970s. Until 2013 he performed with the following formations: guitar duo Hiller & Ruepp , rock-oldie band Twist and Shout , and the duo Two For You . Ruepp's professional career began with training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk . This was followed by part-time training to become a business economist (VWA) . Today Ruepp is the commercial director and authorized signatory in a medium-sized company and has lived in the Weitnau community since 2005 .

Music career

In the 1980s, Ruepp began to compose his own songs, which he never played live on stage. In 1997 he released his first own CD entitled Ready to go , on which four of his own songs can be heard. In 2000 the CD Restless was released under the project name Twisted with nine tracks, all of which Ruepp had composed himself. Until then, Ruepp had written his songs exclusively in English. There were also two children's radio plays with the title Ratzelfatz . Ruepp had the name of the main character protected. In 2012 his first German-language CD with his own songs was released under the title Westwind . Since August 2013 Ruepp has only performed solo and is also presenting his own songs on stage for the first time. In addition, there is always commissioned work for companies, communities and other musicians. Among other things, the song for the town of Isny im Allgäu with the title Bei uns in Isny ​​was created .
