Anett Schuck

Anett Schuck (born April 11, 1970 in Leipzig ) is a German canoeist .

Anett Schuck, niece of the canoe world champion Alexander Schuck and cousin of Marina Schuck , is a canoe racer of the SC DHfK Leipzig and was Olympic champion in the four-man kayak (with Birgit Fischer , Manuela Mucke and Ramona Portwich ) over 500 m at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 . She repeated this success at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 (with Birgit Fischer, Manuela Mucke and Katrin Wagner ). For winning a medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, she and the team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Johannes Rau on February 2, 2001 .

In canoe racing world championships , Schuck has achieved 12 gold, 5 silver and one bronze medals.

After becoming pregnant, she ended her sports career and has been working as a sports teacher since graduating .
