Anette Brandhorst

Anette Brandhorst (born April 1, 1936 in Stendal ; † May 1, 1999 in Cologne ; born Anette Petersen ) was an art collector and heiress from the Henkel family of industrialists .

Anette Petersen was born as the daughter of Elisabeth Henkel (1914-1998), later known as Lisa Maskell , a daughter of Hugo Henkel , from her marriage to the architect Ernst Petersen , who was also an actor in mountain films with Leni Riefenstahl .

Anette Petersen married Klaus Friedrich Koch in her first marriage, and Udo Brandhorst in her second marriage . Together with Udo Brandhorst, she built up one of the most important private collections of contemporary art in Germany for more than 20 years. This was transferred to the Udo and Anette Brandhorst Foundation in 1993 and exhibited as the Brandhorst Collection in the Brandhorst Museum in Munich , which opened in 2009 .

Anette Brandhorst was also chairwoman of the board of trustees of the Gerda Henkel Foundation in 1998/99 .
