The Angamos Promontory (English, Spanish Promontorio Angamos ) is up to 55 m high promontory on Greenwich Iceland in the archipelago of South Shetland Islands . It rises 0.7 km southeast of Ash Point and 0.35 km north of Poisson Hill on the east side of the entrance to Discovery Bay .
Scientists from the research vessel Iquique carried out measurements and naming during the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947). It is named after the second ship on this expedition, the Angamos . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2004.
