Angela Lindner (* 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ) and HTL teacher. From 2013 to 2018 she was a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

Lindner was born in Vienna in 1966 and studied technical physics at the Vienna University of Technology between 1984 and 1991 . She subsequently joined Siemens and worked for ten years as a project employee, later also as a project manager. In 2003 she became a teacher at the Higher Technical College in Salzburg , where she has been teaching physics and computer science since then. In addition, in 2006 she completed the part-time training "Engineering Education Curriculum" and completed various advanced and advanced training courses.

Politics and functions

Lindner was elected to the community council in the Eugendorf community in 1998 and rose to become a member of the community board and head of the nature and environment committee in 2004. In the state elections in 2013 , she ran for 5th place on the state list of the Salzburg Greens, whereupon she was sworn in as a member of the Salzburg state parliament on June 19, 2013. In the state parliament, Lindner acts as the area spokesperson for traffic, waste management, financial monitoring, the audit office, municipalities, rural. Space, public service, regional politics and technology in the green state parliament club. With the Eugendorf Greens she was able to increase the result of the Greens to 16.4 percent in the municipal council and mayoral elections in 2014 , and she herself came to 13.5 percent in the mayoral election. Lindner is also a founding member of the parent-child initiative in Eugendorf, initiator for afternoon care for primary school children and created a bicycle concept for the community of Eugendorf. She is also involved as a member of the Flachgau I and II regional association (public transport). She is the auditor in the Flachgautakt II association and a member of the board of the youth organization Eugendorf. She is also active as chairwoman of the Salzburg Teachers Initiative - Independent Trade Unionists and a member of Attac Austria .

After the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 , she left the state parliament.

Private

Lindner has been married since 1991 and has a son and a daughter.
