Angela Webber

Angela Webber (born December 2, 1954 in Sydney , New South Wales , Australia , † March 10, 2007 ) was an Australian author, TV writer, producer and comedian. Angela Webber was born on December 2, 1955 and grew up in West Ryde (suburb of Sydney , New South Wales , Australia ). She attended the Presbyterian Ladies' College in Croydon. After graduating from high school, she studied architecture at the University of Sydney where she discovered her passion for self-written comedies.

One of her most successful and best-known works is the television series My Embarrassing Parents . In 2006 the series received the Australian Film Institute Award for best children's series in the drama category. My Embarrassing Parents runs in more than 15 countries including the UK , Italy , France and Germany .

She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005 and died of it on March 10, 2007 in Coogee. She left her husband and two daughters.
