Angelika Volle

Angelika Elisabeth Charlotte Volle (* 1949 ) is a German political scientist and journalist . From 1993 to 2003 she was editor-in-chief of the specialist journal Europa-Archiv / Internationale Politik .

Life

Volle was born in 1949 as the daughter of Hermann Volle , who founded the Europa-Archiv together with Wilhelm Cornides and was its editor-in-chief from 1949 to 1986. After graduating from the Amos-Comenius-Gymnasium in Bad Godesberg , she studied political science, history, English and Russian at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München . In 1976 she was with Hans-Adolf Jacobsen at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Bonn with the dissertation German-British Relations. An investigation of the bilateral relationship at the state and non-state level since the Second World War to Dr. phil. PhD.

She then was a Research Assistant at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London. From 1978 to 1989 she was a consultant at the Liaison Office of the European Community (EC) in Bonn. From 1979 to 1996 she was also Secretary General and Treasurer of the German Group of the Trilateral Commission . From 1986 to 1989 she also held a teaching position in the field of European politics and economics at the University of Cologne .

She worked for the German Society for Foreign Policy (DGAP) for more than 25 years , so from 1993 to 2003 she was editor-in-chief of the specialist journal Europa-Archiv (from 1995 international politics ).
