Angelina Machado de Jesus

Angelina Machado de Jesus (born April 29, 1967 in Maliana , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor and a member of the Partido Democrático (PD).

Jesus holds a Masters in Law, specializing in Government Work.

From 2012 to 2017 Jesus was a member of the National Parliament of East Timor and a member of the Commission for Public Finances (Commission C). Before that she was director of the parliamentary administration. From 2012 to 2016 Jesus was deputy secretary in the parliamentary presidium, but was voted out of parliament on May 5th after the coalition of CNRT and PD came to an end. In the 2017 elections , Jesus failed in 15th place in the PD list and thus left parliament.

In the Partido Democrático, Jesus was the secretary of the legal commission from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 she was president of the Organização Mulher Democrático , the party's women's organization. The office is now held by Elvina Sousa Carvalho .
